Homemade Healthy Electrolyte Sports Drink


This is Kate’s (Modern Alternative Mama) homemade electrolyte drink. It’s the healthy alternative to Gatorade and other “sports drinks.”  This  version provides electrolytes in the form of salts to rehydrate. The recipe also includes fresh ginger, and other natural ingredients.

It’s a  great drink for natural rehydration if you’re working out, doing lawn work in the heat, cycling or otherwise exerting yourself. It’s also good if you’re just running around, and feel tired and light-headed.  Finally, Kate recommends using this drink if you are recovering from an illness.
