I found this article by Robin of Fluster Buster the other day. I love her World War II series. She writes:
“This series was created to honor my grandmother and her homemaking journal that she created during WWII. In her journal she kept a record of household tips, tricks and remedies that helped her to save money when things were not readily available.”
Robin’s grandfather had beehives and she watched him with the bees when she was a little girl. In this post you’ll find 21 uses for honey (9 Healthcare uses and 12 Beauty uses). Here are a few:
- For a bacterial infection soak raw garlic cloves in honey and take 1 teaspoon 3 to 4 times a day.
- For cuts apply honey to the cut to clean it and then apply a bandage.
- As a hair conditioner: Wash your hair and then add a little honey to the hair. Rinse after a few minutes.
