Thank you for visiting Herbs and Oils Hub!!
I can hear some of you saying: “Carrots? In soap? Really? Why?” Well, aside from a lovely yellow color, this baby carrot soap is mild and gentle. So it’s an ideal soap if you have sensitive skin.
I did a little research on carrots to learn more about the properties of this healthy veggie. Carrots contain a high level of beta carotene, which acts as an antioxidant that can prevent and reverse cell damage. Beta carotene promotes cell renewal, cleanses sweat glands, reduces acne, and protects against sunburn.
Carrots also contain Vitamin C which aids collagen production. This aids skin elasticity and reduces wrinkles. So carrots are really a very promising natural soap ingredient.
For this soap you can use a carrot puree or carrot baby food. Jan also uses 3 different oils (none of which is Palm oil). She includes links to her Soap Making 101 tutorial and her Soap Making Ebook. Jan’s tutorials always contain very clear directions. It’s a very nice, all-natural soap recipe!
