Using plums and other fruit in this way is one method of preserving and enjoying the fruit in colder months.
This is a recipe for drunken infused plums in vodka by Rick of City Boy Hens. It’s a plum vodka liqueur. The recipe is exceptionally easy to make. Once the mason jars are filled you just need to store them in a cool place. Rick recommends a cold cellar. If you don’t have a cold cellar, just put the jars in a kitchen cabinet. Because it’s an infused liqueur it takes at least 3 months to flavor the vodka. It’s well worth it though. This is a terrific holiday drink!
