Claire of EveryDayRoots has some exceptional, natural remedies on her site.  This one is a “soothing roots balm” to relieve headaches.

The idea is that you carry a tin of it with you.  When you feel a headache is coming on, rub a little of the balm on your temples, neck, or wherever you feel tension. The balm contains a blend of 5 different soothing oils. Claire explains the benefits of each oil. It only takes 20 minutes to make the balm.  The recipe uses a nut oil and beeswax for the base.  I’d suggest letting the wax mixture cool a bit before adding the essential oils.
