This is my second post on survival garden seeds. These are seeds that can be used to start a garden in the event that you lose access to buying food and vegetables at grocery stores during some sort of natural, economic, or political disaster.
As I mentioned in the first post, it’s a good idea to use some of these seeds in your current garden and then collect some of the seeds at the end of the growing season. You can then dry the seeds, package them, and add then to your seed kit or vault. In this way you can increase the number of seeds that you’re storing and you’ll know that they grow in your climate.
Remember: You can grow seeds in a regular garden, in raised-beds, in containers, on rooftops, on balconies etc. You can also grow seeds indoors.
To get started, you can buy commercial survival kit seeds. Today’s commercial product is the SillySeed vegetable collection. You’ll find a description of this product and links to it below.
