Thank you for visiting Herbs and Oils Hub!!
This is The Nerdy Farm Wife’s recipe for Dandelion Salve. Dandelions are somewhat maligned. Many people think of them as weeds. However, they are used in medicinal preparations, cosmetic preparations and for consumption as tea, wine and even beer!
Dandelion salve is helpful in treating:
- Sore muscles
- Achy & arthritic joints
- Rough, chapped skin
Dandelion salve is also very good for gardeners and for anyone who works outdoors.
The Nerdy Farm Wife first explains how to make an infused oil and the particular challenge that dandelions pose. You’ll also learn how to make a double infusion if you wish.
She then explains how to make the salve with the dandelion oil, beeswax and another oil that she considers to be the best all around skin healing agent she’s found to date. If you don’t have any in your area, she shares sources for dandelions and the oils used.
Also, the resulting dandelion oil can be used a s a massage oil if you don’t want to make the salve.
