Thank you for visiting Herbs and Oils Hub!!
During Spring I often don’t wear gloves when I’m gardening. As a result my hands quickly become dry and rough. In fact, when I do wear gardening gloves, I find that my hands still get rough in spots. You need a really good gardener’s hand butter to soften hands after gardening.
Jill has created a really great recipe here. Her Gardener’s Butter uses shea butter, beeswax, one particular oil I love, and two essential oils. She explains the benefits of each ingredient. I personally find the shea butter to be highly moisturizing and the beeswax covers and protects the hands. The essential oils she selected are very soothing, which is what you need after a day in the garden.
The directions are very clear and there are some helpful photographs. It’s really a simple recipe though.
