From past experience with bath salts, I’d second Shannon’s recommendation to put the bath salts and herbs into a muslin bag with a drawstring closure. You can hang the bag over the faucet as the tub fills or you can just swish the bag back and forth through the hot water. The main advantage is that it will be easier to clean your tub after your bath.
