Vitamin E is a naturally occurring fat-soluble compound that has antioxidant properties. Antioxidants protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals, which can damage cells and contribute to various diseases.
Vitamin E is found in a lot of commercial skin, hair and body-care products. It can soothe sunburn, chapped skin, and heal small scratches. It’s thought that the antioxidant property of Vitamin E prevents aging skin by blocking free radical damage. It also helps to avoid wrinkles that can be caused by free radicals. It treats existing wrinkles by promoting the production of collagen and speeding up healing.
Given all of the benefits of Vitamin E, there are a lot of commercial Vitamin E gels on the market. However, they can be very expensive. Shannon decided to make her own, homemade Vitamin E gel that protects and moisturizes the skin.
The ingredients e.g. Lanolin, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E and more, have so many wonderful, skin-friendly properties: moisturizing, protective, ideal for treating skin conditions, healing, softening, nourishing, and soothing.
Shannon explains the benefits of each ingredient. She also provides clear directions and helpful photographs. Very nice recipe. Check out the article at the Homemade Vitamin E Gel link below.
