I don’t have chlorine bleach in my home. Frankly, it’s too scary. It can damage the skin, lungs, and eyes. It can also aggravate asthma and other breathing problems.

Combining bleach with ammonia or other acids can create a toxic gas. Bleach also has a terrible odor. Finally, when bleach is released into local bodies of water, it can create many dangerous toxins.

Lindsey was looking for a more natural alternative to chlorine bleach. She found a simple combination of ingredients that can be used for laundry, cleaning and disinfecting. Add one cup of this natural bleach along with detergent to a load of laundry for an added cleaning boost.
