How often do you hear about Goat Milk Soap? This is definitely a unique soap tutorial that I found on the Chick n’ Coop. Goat Milk soap is perfect for people with dry or sensitive skin, or conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
Goat milk contains Lactic acid which removes dead skin cells from your skin’s surface, a whole bunch of vitamins (including vitamin A which maintains healthy skin), moisturizing fat, and minerals like selenium, which may help to prevent skin cancer.
In addition to goat milk, the recipe uses brown sugar, oatmeal, honey, cinnamon and other ingredients. It’s the first soap making recipe I’ve seen where the lye is sprinkled over the goat milk.
This recipe is made in a crock pot. There are clear instructions and nice photographs. Even if you don’t make Goat Milk Soap, you’ll find a great tip on the perfect container to use to form the soap as it cools.
