Capsaicin is a nifty compound that depletes the amount of Substance P in our body. Substance P is a chemical pain transmitter. By depleting the amount of Substance P in our bodies, capsaicin reduces pain.
Heather’s recipe is really pretty simple. If you plan to use this balm on children, she has some suggested ingredient substitutions. Very nice warming and pain-relief rub.
