If you have a bumper crop of cherries this year and are looking for a neat way to preserve them for the winter, you’ve found the right post.  The good folks at City Boy Hens have a simple method of preserving cherries.  They bottle them in vodka!

This is not a quick recipe.  You have to allow the cherries to remain in the vodka for at least 4 months.  But in the end you have vodka-flavored cherries, and you have a cherry-flavored vodka liqueur!  Whenever I encounter GENIUS it makes me smile 🙂
