Bone broth is stock made by boiling the bones of healthy animals with vegetables, spices and herbs. It produces a mineral rich broth that has many health benefits. Among other things, it heals inflammation, helps to fight colds and the flu, and it helps with digestive problems and allergies.
Tracey of Don’t Mess with Mama shares her recipe for bone broth, which she cooks in a crock pot. She uses organic chicken/turkey or grass-fed beef bones. For additional nutrients and flavor, she adds vegetables, herbs, filtered water, and other ingredients.
