This recipe makes my mouth water. One of our neighbors makes a cake very similar to the recipe in this post. I always love to find recipes that include lavender. Some of the ingredients in this cake are almond flour, corn flour, sugar, butter and Meyer lemons The cake is drizzled with lemon juice, sugar and chopped fresh lavender. Mmmm!
Meyer lemons are thought to be a cross between lemon and mandarin or regular oranges. The juice from Meyer lemons is sweeter and less acidic. When you add the lavender it produces a wonderful sweet, citrusy taste. Hard to describe precisely but if you try it I’ll bet you will like it!
