Thank you for visiting Herbs and Oils Hub!!
Smoothies are a great way to get a healthy meal without a lot of effort. It’s so easy that even kids can do it. The younger kids in our family are sometimes leery of trying new fruit. But if you toss it in a smoothie, they don’t care as long as it tastes good. So this is a neat way to get your kids off of the processed, store-bought desserts and drinks, and encourage them to eat healthy (even if they don’t realize it).
In this post, Kami shares her recipe for a Rose Berry Blast smoothie. She uses rose petal tea but offers some other possibilities: hibiscus, peppermint, spearmint, lemon verbena and lemon balm. They all make great flavorings for a smoothie, plus you get the health benefits of the herbs.
She first explains how to make the herbal tea. Then she shares her recipe for the Rose Berry Blast smoothie. You can use strawberries, blackberries, blueberries or any other berry you’d like. The recipe uses one of my favorite nut milks, maple syrup and a surprise ingredient. She includes some helpful tips and a substitution for the nut milk. GREAT recipe!
It’s another drink that would be prefect while relaxing.
