Thank you for visiting Herbs and Oils Hub!!
I love lavender. In the past I shared a recipe for Lavender Lemonade with Honey that was really popular. I also found this recipe for Lavender Cream with Lilacs that generated a lot of emails. And then I shared the 5 Health Uses for Lavender Essential Oil that readers liked.
In this post, Andrea of Frugally Sustainable shares her recipe for making lavender extract. She suggests using lavender extract in lemonade, teas, baked goods, lotions and more! I Love her! She sees the appeal of lavender too 🙂
Lavender provides a triple punch. It’s an antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic agent. It can be used medicinally in a variety of health remedies for colds/flu, insomnia, burns/scrapes/wounds and more.
This is a traditional tincture recipe. Vodka is often used as the alcohol in this type of tincture, although Andrea provides an alternative. Very nice recipe.
